Charles P. Litchfield, Esq.

Charles Litchfield

Quick on the uptake and keen on his feet, Charles Litchfield has a sharp eye for detail and brings a strong work ethic to his practice of law. Charles first gained familiarity with the Marin Superior Court through an externship there after his second year of law school. He gained valuable experience writing memos for several judges and making recommendations on summary judgments and various other motions. He has since visited the court numerous times on the other side of the bench and feels at home in the courtroom.

During his tenure as a law student at the USC Gould School of Law, Charles served as the Executive Editor of the Southern California Law Review and wrote an article on healthcare reform that was published in a recent issue and can be viewed here. After graduating near the top of his class at USC, Charles returned to the Bay Area to start the Litchfield Law Group with his father, Perry D. Litchfield.

Charles is a Patent Attorney registered with the USPTO and has experience in trust litigation, personal injury claims, real estate transactions and litigation, land use permits, trademark application, and contract disputes, among others.

Charles has worked for ADR firm Resolution Remedies since 2010 and currently serves as Executive Vice President of the company. While interning at Resolution Remedies during law school, he was exposed to a wide variety of cases in a number of legal areas while at the same time gaining real world experience by initiating litigation related to real estate and personal injury in association with Perry Litchfield. In 2011, Charles completed a summer externship at the Marin County Superior Court, which lent itself to greater familiarity with the law and the inner workings of the state courthouse. After graduating law school in 2012, he joined with Perry Litchfield to launch the Litchfield Law Group.
